This Super Bowl will feature plenty of ads promoting EVs

The Super Bowl kicks off this Sunday offering a prime opportunity for advertisers to reach an audience that some estimates project could reach nearly 120 million viewers.

Beyond the plays on the field, there will be plenty of Super Bowl ads. And many of those ads will be promoting EVs, Barron’s notes in a recent article.

“It’s a sign that more EV models are coming to dealerships around the country,” the Barron’s analysis says. “It’s also a sign that the auto industry is planning for an all-electric future.”

Among the EV ads is a General Motors spot featuring Dr. Evil of Austin Powers fame. Kia, meanwhile, has an ad featuring “Robo Dog” in its bid to promote the Kia EV6.
