Report: Electric vehicle adoption to surge if Congress backs EV incentives

If Congress signs off on EV-related proposals, then electric vehicle adoption is expected to surge, experts told Utility Dive.

Among the items being considered in President Joe Biden’s infrastructure and spending plan is a measure providing buyers of new EVs with $12,500 towards the purchase of an electric vehicle.

The level of investment in EVs and charging infrastructure being considered by Congress could create a “tipping point” in EV adoption, analysts told Utility Dive.
