Report says more electric vehicle models and high gas prices are boosting EV sales
A rising number of electric vehicle models paired with high gas prices are helping fuel an increase in EV sales, according to a report by AutoPacific, a market consultant.
Forbes says the market consultant’s analysis shows about 670,000 EVs are expected to be sold in 2022, which would amount to a 37 percent increase over last year.
AutoPacific is predicting that EV sales nationally will top the one million mark sometime in 2024 and hit two million—more than 10 percent of a healthy year’s total new vehicle sales—by 2026, according to Forbes.
